Space and Gravity both are mysteries

Deep Space           Bernard Demaere                 I am hanging, Over empty space, Without anything Holding me, but A gentle hand, Steady, Throughout my life, Leading purposefully    Space is unavoidable.  Space is everywhere and everyone needs it.  Space is a mystery.  Never mind space just consider your body, a mystery in itself dependent of gravity. Gravity and space are two opposites and still very dependent on each other.  We need space and we need gravity in order to survive. Man's fascination with space is not new.  He has been searching since the beginning of time.  We have plenty of it and still looking for more.  The Moon and now Mars, in my lifetime man has investigated the possibility to dwell on both.  When I was a child, I remember watching man's first steps on the Moon from a black and white television somewhere...

Marriage

Marriage is a wonderful institution originated in the mind of God.  I think when you look at it with the right perspective of an unselfish vision and desires.  It's a teachable experience and very sharpening at the same time. I am a different person than I used to be. Having now been married 32 years to the same woman.  I can tell you that it has been very rocky at times but we kept our priority in check and made through the first 10 years which were the hardest. I hear a lot of divorces are taking place in the lives of everyone and all walks of life and all beliefs.  It is sad to see. It would have just taken a little more patience and endurance on both parts and a little bit more give and take to make it work.  Unfortunately, there is the problem of infidelity which is rampant. If you are going to embrace the idea of being together in marriage meaning a man and a woman loving each other until death parts them.  You are going to have to have that mindset o...

Priceless!

It important sometimes to reflect on the things pertaining to life.  We seems to not have a problem thinking about the things we spend our money on, but it's quite another to meditate and appreciate the things and people that are free but nevertheless priceless.  What would happen if in one breath those thing or people were taken from us?  Would our lives be quite different?  Would we mind? I believe we would all be hurting terribly.  There is no price on anything that is free in this world.  We should all be thankful for the air we breath since we were first on the earth.  Those things we desperately need in order to survive like water which is included in all our meals.  What would we do without it? What about relationship?  You reap what you sow, really.  There is no substitute for love, if you give love you will receive love.  It's the law of investment.  You get out what you put in. Sometimes though I understand that ...

WE NEED THEM!

I had like to dedicate this post to all the law enforcement officers, RCMP's, Police officers of every nation on the globe. The reason being in a time we need them most the world has turned its back on them.  When they need our support the most, as crime rises they have been one more time abused by a crowd who likes to focus on a few bad apples.  There are bad apples in every bag. Law enforcement officers have bad days too and when they have bad days they have more available to them to raise havoc, like guns and strength with no one to back them up sometimes. I read on social media the moving story of a mother, daughter and RCMP officer.  We need them to keep crime down so let's not be so quick in judging them when they fail.  God forbids that anyone would make a mistake! (sarcasm) All people matter and you too.  Let no one be overlooked! What I am trying to say may not fit this blog, but it does because I have been so close in my thoughts of facing them, the la...

Picture of Success

Success can be define in different ways.  For many, to be the next supermodel well trimmed attraction is what success is.  For others, another day living on earth is the attraction of success. Success means different things to different people.  Right now! Mental illness or not weight loss should be a priority but it's not.  To be healthy is.  To be weightless is not a sign of good health tough it's an obsession.  This world and everywhere you look around is obsessed with weight.  So much time and money is spend on losing weight and we consumers fall for it.  The only reason sometimes is to be healthy.  Walking should be fun and not a duty.  Sports should be fun, not slavery. We are obviously listening to our own heart and want to have that 'feeling good' feeling but that can be temporary as any weight lost is gained again in a vicious circle. The actual vicious circle is not weight loss and then weight gain but that indispensable feelin...

Are you stuck?

Are you stuck in a particular situation that you seemingly can't get out of ? Like in: - an abusive relationship? - some debts? - at your parents because you can't pay rent? - in an uncomfortable spot, country, job? My advice to you is an advice I have given to myself.  You have to be patient and maybe even eat some humble pie which is hard to do.  Waiting is hard all the time for me never mind in hard times. The important thing is to never give up but at the same time to take steps within yourself to make changes. In certain situation, it is even for the sake of your mental well-being to seek help from social services that are available in your community.  First of all though, I would seek God's help first, he always comes through and sometimes he uses people like you and me. I know some of these situations I mentioned above are very unpleasant because I have experienced it myself. The word of encouragement for all through all these situations that you are stuck in is th...

Vulnerability

As I mentioned before I was taking a few days of rest with my wife and friends as we went camping in the "not so wild" Canadian Wilderness.  In fact, it was not wild at all, campsite grounds with basic utilities. But being away from home for a couple days it makes each one of us terribly vulnerable to changes.  We learned different things about each other and the element of trust plays a big role here.  I recommend a camping trip as wild as you can handle and as often as you like. There is not one camping trip that I have been on that I didn't learn and find out more about myself and I have conquered many fears through camping.  It's extremely rewarding in many ways and helps you appreciate the things you have back home even more.  It builds stronger relationships of trust, in fact these kind of activities are good therapies for all kind of people with insecurities. Putting ourselves in vulnerable situations might seem unnecessary but in the end it shows you who...
