Poetry Lovers: The Prayer Garden

The Prayer Garden

By Bernard Demaere

Like a flower,

Is each prayer!

He takes them one by one,

In His Garden.

He cares for them,

He sprinkles,

One at a time, every day,

‘Till fully grown.

Some are picked now,

Some will be for later,

But one glorious day, I know,

I will see my gardener.

And those flowers, the same,

He will have gathered,

Then fragrance and beauty,

Will send a perfume unto, Eternity.
