Vulnerability

As I mentioned before I was taking a few days of rest with my wife and friends as we went camping in the "not so wild" Canadian Wilderness.  In fact, it was not wild at all, campsite grounds with basic utilities.
But being away from home for a couple days it makes each one of us terribly vulnerable to changes.  We learned different things about each other and the element of trust plays a big role here.  I recommend a camping trip as wild as you can handle and as often as you like.

There is not one camping trip that I have been on that I didn't learn and find out more about myself and I have conquered many fears through camping.  It's extremely rewarding in many ways and helps you appreciate the things you have back home even more.  It builds stronger relationships of trust, in fact these kind of activities are good therapies for all kind of people with insecurities.

Putting ourselves in vulnerable situations might seem unnecessary but in the end it shows you who you really are and some of it might be really good.  It might surprise you!

So I recommend camping, horseback riding and learning new hobbies that might be very difference an d somewhat uncomfortable to learn and go for it.

Take the jump to a new life and discover a new world about you.  Do it for yourself and your neighbours around you.

Here is a poem about sameness that we have to avoid in our lives:

“Strength lies in differences, not in similarities.”

Stephen Covey

The Land of Same

Bernard Demaere

Let me bring you,

To the land of Same.

The people are the Same,

And live in the same house,

Have the same life,

Have the same job,

Have the same god,

Looking at them,

You would think:

“There must be a difference”

But no, they’re all the Same,

They think the same,

Have the same opinion,

The same ideas,

They never disagree,

There is never,

Anything new,

It is always the same,

They all walk,

In the same direction,

In the land of Same,

The people are the Same.
