The Necessity of Hope

When you think of it, hope is more necessary than our daily food.  What would we do without hope in the world? Surely all of us have some kind of hope in someone or something.  That hope and expectation is what keep us believing in ourselves or someone else.

What would we do or be if we had completely lost hope?

There is not enough money in the world to buy hope.  Another word for 'hope' is rest.  To have rest in your soul how wonderful that would be?

Yet so many people have lost hope in humanity or the politics of this world.

They are ready to look somewhere else, but where?

Dreams, that is where it all starts.  You have to have dreams bigger than yourself.  Your God's given dream, so impossible to reach that it would take heaven to move that mountain that is in the front of you.

Do not neglect your dreams, but hang on to them.  Though they might be delayed. There is still hope in the bell while it's still ringing.

The world is under going a fire in many ways and it is frustrating to say the least.  The tension is there on people's faces, it is mounting.  The media are not helping.

True hope must be found somewhere else than this world.  Are you looking for it?  It's not too far.

Castle Not of Wood      Revelation 21-22

Bernard Demaere

I am dreaming of a castle,

It is somewhere in a city,

And the size of it would make you marvel,

There are so many mansions lit up by glory.

There is a castle without any door,

For the one who is the King is the door,

You are free to come in…

But first, taste of His pastures green.

There is a castle without a ceiling,

For the one who made it is the Most High,

And, its walls cover eternity,

The windows are huge and open to victory.

There is a castle without light

For the One who abide in the Light.

And everything that is unseen, will be seen

And in passing world, His glory will make it dim.

There is a castle without food,

But, I know Him, and He will be your bread.

That castle is not even made of wood,

But it can hold the world for whom Jesus died.

I am dreaming of a castle,

But this castle is not so unreal.

There are no doors.  But He is the Door,

There is no ceiling.  He is too great!

There are some walls and windows,

There is Light that gives no shadows.

There is no food.  He is your Bread.

And your Host.  His name is Jesus!

There is a key, it is my heart.

There is a book, the Bible tells how he loves me,

And to read it you don’t have to be smart.

Yes, that castle is not of wood

And I must die, if I want to look,

Because, this castle is in my Book
