The Home needs Help

Welcome back!
With everything that is going on in our society with the Coronavirus, and understandably since jobs are being lost and consequently household debts are rising. crime is everywhere and so is domestic fight.
According to Vox.com  in an article written by Brian Resnick on May 29, 2020 "A third of Americans report anxiety or depression during the pandemic."
Something has to be done and something is being done, but the healthcare system are tried and tested to their limits.  We are all very thankful for all our healthcare frontline workers from all nations and in all categories whether it be mental or physical.  We need them desperately!

Depression and/or mental illness is in the home and has been increasing because of the accumulation of hardships and our systems are on overload.  Whether it be our mental condition system or physical system of our own body.  We need to take measures to decrease the stress we put on our bodies and minds, like physical exercise and a better management of what we consume.
Our bodies are wonderful machines and are even better than machines since they last a few decades without too many interruptions and break downs.  We need to return the favor by looking after them as well as we are able to.  The investment we put in our body will immediately have a return from its productivity.  Too much stress causes it to break down. Jut slow down a bit!

Now, how have I dealt with my anxiety and depression through my mental illness.  The answer is pretty simple but unfortunately my pride or your pride might get in the way.  Do you really want to know the answer?
It's HELP!
Sometimes that could translate to mean in doing humiliating stuff like going to the Psych Ward of an hospital in the middle of nowhere or in the middle of winter, yuk!  Summer is better but don't wait!  Do seek for any help now.  Call 911 if you have to. Don't think for a minute you can do it on your own, you can't!  A good counselor or psychiatrist can do wonder and yes sometimes you have to give in and take medications like I do.  It took me a while to get over that but I am glad I am taking them and so is my family.  Do whatever it takes to win!
Your family, although it might not quite understand what is happening to you might be able to help you to accomplish physical tasks that are too complicated for you to perform mentally.  Mental illness or even just depression can be crippling at times.  Try to do your best to love them in return for their support.  They don't owe you anything.

To conclude now I had like to share a funny poem...Let me explain, I sometimes get confused but with me it couldn't possibly have anything to do with my age.  It has everything to do with stress and my mental illness.  Every once in a while I target my wife with troubles.  I think it's funny because it has to happen through me that she will end up having trouble.

Here is the poem about her garden....

Chinese proverb: “If you would be happy all your life, plant a garden.”

My Name is Mud

Bernard Demaere

Over the last 31 years.

I have learned to stay,

Away,

From a few things,

That belong to my wife,

Lately, plants!

I thought I would be,

A mighty hero,

And stop this invasive plant,

From taking over the garden,

Well, I did it!

But I was not a hero,

 My wife was mad,

And I felt like crud

My name was mud,

Like that plant

I had just destroyed,

I did uproot it,

And killed it.

Thinking I was pulling it,

From somewhere else.

From a plant that,

 This invasive plant

was attacking.

I felt good,

What a mighty deed,

 I had accomplished,

But now my name is “Mud”

I feel like “Crud”

And whatever else,

Rhyme with mud.

But there is even hope for

A spud,

As it can even grow,

In a pile of compost.

Note:  Spuds had grown in the compost pile and spuds is another English word for "Potatoes"
