Square Pegs and Round Holes

Oh it just doesn't work, I have tried a million times (slight exaggeration there!)
We try this all the time in life.  We try a system for so many years and arrive at the same conclusion..."Why bother?  We have been out smarted!"
We work on a system and repeat the same things over the years and never take into account that people's likes and dislikes change over the years.  Why does it have to be the same all the time.  Why not change a few things or start it all over?

Same things with mental illness.  Sometimes a change in a routine is very valuable.  A change in the way you deal with yourself or others can make a huge difference in your life.
It happened to me too, I had to change through many changes to find the balance in the system I was caught in.  My mental system was out of wack, it needed a change or balance.  Any system in yourself or in the world that is out of wack is out of balance and need an overall soon or later.  It will come.

In order to bring a system back to balance you need adjustment, little by little that's all it take.  It works in all systems. You don't teach an old dog new tricks...at once...I should say.  You don't put a square peg in a round hole, it won't work.

I am grateful for my mental illness...it has taught me to see life differently and see myself differently.
For me, mental illness is no longer a problem like I used to think...It's a solution.

Blind Spot

Bernard Demaere

Blind spot

In my sight,

A black dot

In my soul.

Blind spot!

My weakness is your strength,

Your strength is my weakness

And we are friends

For me sometimes,

The colors of the rainbow,

Are black,

A blind spot always there,

Do you understand?

But I am learning,

A blind spot is just a name.

A blind spot can be removed

If you just look over your shoulder
