Normal? What's that?

As we painfully go through the attacks from the Coronavirus, we hear, at least here in my country, Canada about the "New Normal".  That is interesting to me because I find a connection with mental illness as well.
We, in our society thrive to be "Normal"  what is normal?  Are we all normal or do we all have a mental illness of some kind?  That is an interesting question for you to ponder sometimes.  Then, if you please answer the question that all society wants to answer...What is normal?  How can we be normal if we are all different and is mental illness part of that difference?

The same for me had to happen with my "New Normal" found mental illness that happened to the whole world a few months ago.  I am disabled, right now I can't have a job because of stress related situations.  You wouldn't believe how difficult for me it was to convince the government that I had a disability because other than physical it can't be a disability, right?

This brings to the conclusion that in our society come to conclusions and judgment that aren't always based on the truth.  We assume that because a person can breath, has all their limbs and a heart beat they are normal until they flew in a rage and then they are deemed, not NORMAL. Then instead of coming closer to them to offer support, we get further.
Yet don't we all have anger issues?  What makes us better than others or more normal except our pride we can't hide?

I want to share another poem with you.  I don't know, you can be the judge if it's related to what I am saying or not.  It just has beauty in it if you are willing to see it...

This poem deserves an explanation.  There is beauty in everything, even in a dead rose.  Photograph it in black and white and you have a well-structured picture with different shades of grey.

Is a Dead Rose Photogenic?

So what do you think?

Should a dead rose be photographed?

Why do we always want to visualize beauty?

What is beauty?

Is there no beauty in death?

Is there a certain attractiveness to age?

Where does wisdom come from?

You can photograph a dead rose depending on what you want to show.

Is there a message to be communicated?

Mental illness is the same thing.

Why would you want to walk away from it? When it is in your mind.

Embrace it! Make it your friend! It will make you grow.

Most people do not understand it.  They call it different names.

They make it appear normal.

Mental illness is real, and it is more than a fear.

It can come through addictions, no one knows its source.

What about the abuse that one received?

You could not really call it by other names

Because what could happen to you then?

Mental illness has no names,

It is one on its own.

It can be like a dead rose to be photographed or not.
